Measuring your wall correctly is the first step to a perfect wallpaper or mural installation. This quick guide will show you exactly what to do so you can order the right amount and avoid running short.

What You Need Before You Start

• Measuring tape (inches or centimeters)
• Step stool or ladder for tall walls
• Pen and paper or your phone notes
• Someone to help for very wide or tall walls, if possible

Step 1, Decide Which Area You Want to Cover

Decide if you are covering:

• One feature wall
• Several walls in the same room
• The full room including small returns or alcoves

Measure each wall separately, then you can add the measurements together or use our calculator on the product page.

Step 2, How to Measure a Standard Wall

Measure the width

1. Place the end of the tape measure at one corner of the wall.
2. Stretch the tape across to the opposite corner in a straight line.
3. Write down the full width of the wall.

Measure the height

1. Measure from the top of the baseboard or floor to the bottom of the ceiling or crown molding.
2. Measure in at least two places in case the ceiling is slightly uneven.
3. Use the largest height you find and write it down.

Write down your final wall size as width by height, for example 144 inches by 108 inches or 366 centimeters by 274 centimeters. Use the real numbers only, do not add extra yet. Our calculator on the product page can add trimming allowance and pattern matching for you.

Step 3, Walls with Doors, Windows, or Radiators

If your wall has doors, windows, or radiators, the simplest and safest option is to measure the wall as if it were full. This gives some extra material for pattern match and trimming.

If you are confident with measurements and want to be more precise, you can:

1. Measure the full wall width and height.
2. Measure the width and height of large openings such as doors or big windows.
3. Note those sizes separately so your installer can calculate how much extra is available.

Step 4, Measuring More Than One Wall

If you plan to wallpaper more than one wall:

1. Measure each wall individually, width and height.
2. Write each wall on a separate line, for example:
   Wall 1, 142 in x 96 in
   Wall 2, 120 in x 96 in
3. Use our calculator on the product page for each wall or ask your installer which walls can be grouped together.

How to Use Your Measurements for Wallpaper Rolls

Every wallpaper roll on Decor2Go includes the roll size and approximate coverage on the product page. To understand how many rolls you need, you can:

1. Enter your wall measurements into the quantity calculator on the product page.
2. Or calculate manually, for example:
   • Find your total wall area (width × height).
   • Check the coverage per roll on the product page.
   • Divide total wall area by coverage per roll and round up to the next whole roll.

We always recommend rounding up, a little extra is better than not having enough to match the pattern.

How to Use Your Measurements for Wallpaper Murals

Wallpaper murals are usually ordered based on the size of the wall you want to cover. In most cases you will simply:

1. Measure the full width and height of the wall area you want to cover.
2. Enter those numbers into the mural size or calculator box on the product page.
3. Follow any mural specific notes on that page, for example minimum bleed or print area.

Our calculator can add extra for trimming and pattern match, so use your real wall size and let the system handle the rest.

Tips for Accurate Measurements

• Measure twice to confirm your numbers match.
• Do not rely on old floor plans or estimates, always measure the real wall.
• Note your units clearly, inches or centimeters, and keep them consistent.
• If you are unsure, take photos of your wall and your notes and share them with your installer.

• Free shipping is offered on all wallpaper murals and wallpaper orders.

Order Tracking

• Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number.
• You can use this tracking number to follow your package until it arrives.

International Shipping

• International shipping is available on request.

Shipping Issues

If your package is delayed, damaged, or lost in transit, please contact us at online2@decor2go.ca. We will review the situation and assist you with the next steps.

Wallpaper Return Policy (Not Including Wallpaper Murals)

We want you to love your wallpaper. If for any reason it doesn’t meet your expectations, our customer service team will guide you through the return process and provide you with a Return Authorization Number to ensure proper credit.

• Returns must be requested within 30 days of receipt.

• Wallpaper must be unopened, in original packaging, and in the same condition received.

• All wallpaper returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, unless defective.

• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

• Damaged or incorrect items must be reported immediately upon delivery.

We cannot accept returns of:

• Items returned without authorization

• Items returned more than 30 days after receipt

• Opened or altered items

• Special order patterns, samples, or 54" commercial goods

Refunds are issued once items are received and inspected at our warehouse. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Wallpaper Murals Return Policy

Our murals are made to order. Because of this, they cannot be refunded or exchanged.

If you have any questions before placing your order, please reach out — our team is happy to help you choose the perfect mural for your space. You may also order a sample to review the true color tones, as shades may vary from screen to screen. Please note: colors between different print batches may not be an exact match.

All mural returns require a Return Authorization Number, and the return address will be provided once authorization is approved.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding approval. Approved refunds will be processed back to your original method of payment within a few business days. Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. To request an exchange, please contact us at online@decor2go.ca

Shipping Returns

To return your product, you must first request a Return Authorization Number. Then ship the unopened item securely in its original packaging.

Please write your Return Authorization Number clearly on the outside of the box.
